Name: David Dobbs. Location: Vermont. Skiing: Fischer. Q < What are the gnarliest conditions you’ve skied? A < Just pure ice. A day at Lake Placid, Whiteface, last December. And I knew it was pure ice, but you gotta ski, you know what I mean? I’ve been out of skiing, I had a back operation, and it’s my physical therapy. It was skied off. What little snow had been there was gone. It was like an Olympic downhill.
