Name: Stephanie Takei. Location: Vermont. Skiing: Rossignol. Q < You grew up in California skiing Mammoth. How’s the scene different? A< Western people are a little more polite, at least going down the mountain. There’s no room on the East Coast, definitely, but I don’t hear very many people saying right or left here when they’re going by, and trying to give people the right of way. It’s definitely more of a battle in the east, knowing where you’re going, what you’re doing, trying to get around everybody and not knock over the ski school ducklings. It’s cool, it’s fun, it’s just completely more aggressive.
